I had the chance this week to participate in a special commemoration of the 155th anniversary of the battle of Fredericksburg (Dec. 11-13, 1862). The Civil War Trust held a series of Facebook LIVE events, co-hosted by the National Park Service and Emerging Civil War. Dan Davis and I represented ECW in the two days of events. What a fantastic treat it was to be on the field with historians Frank O’Reilly, Kris White, Garry Adleman, Don Pfanz, Beth Parnicza, Pete Maugle, and Becky Oakes. Plus, Wayne Mott from the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, PA, brought some artifacts from the battle down to the battlefield. It was a phenomenal two days!
