Our historian-in-residence, Chris Mackowski, took part in an exciting two-day event to help commemorate the 155th anniversary of the battle of Chancellorsville earlier this week. I had the chance this week to participate in a special commemoration of the 155th anniversary of the battle of Fredericksburg (Dec. 11-13, 1862). Celebrating Battlefield Preservation

Stevenson Ridge was pleased to recently host the Civil War Trust, the nation’s largest battlefield preservation organization. The Trust was in Fredericksburg for the weekend of October 12-15, 2017, for their annual Color Bearers event. On Friday evening, they came to Stevenson Ridge for tours of the earthworks, a reception, and an awards dinner.
