Denise Millner joined the Stevenson Ridge family this month as a part-time event coordinator. She is thrilled to be a member of an incredibly talented and hard-working team that excels in event planning, customer service, and customer satisfaction!
It’s funny how life moves you in one direction and then changes to another. Denise earned her bachelor of science degree in computer systems management from Drexel University and held management positions in the Information Technology and Software Engineering divisions of Westinghouse and Northrop Grumman Corporation for 33 years before retiring as director of information technology. Her event planning passion, meanwhile, started soon after high school when she successfully planned her sister’s and best friend’s weddings and receptions. Her true passion led her to successfully execute more than 120 events over the years.
Denise grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2001, she relocated to Fredericksburg, Virginia, after marrying Cecil Curtiss Millner Jr., CPA. They both enjoy serving in multiple church ministries as ordained deacons, superintendents of the Sunday School Ministry, Bible teachers, and students. Denise launched her own event planning business, “Exquisite Occasions Inc.,” in 2013. She is ecstatic when she’s doing what she enjoys best: planning events and creating wonderful memories for people to treasure for a lifetime.
