It sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie: the drones are coming!
In fact, they’re already here. With their flashing lights and moving cameras, little flying drones have been getting more popular recently with weddings. Within the last year, we’ve seen a couple of weddings with drones flying around the property.
The flying robots can get both videos and stills, and they can capture views and angles that a human person can never get—from a bird-eye’s view or can hover in close for more fun shots. We’ve seen most vendors control the drones from just their iPhone, which is pretty tech savvy.
Although this new feature to your wedding might be a great idea, some might worry it’s too expensive on top of the rest of your wedding expenses. Others might worry that they’re disruptive, since most drones have at least four propellers. However, we think they’re definitely something worth looking into, so make sure to talk to your photographer or videographer about it before making any assumptions. You might just be surprised.
